…THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN GREENVILLE AND NORTHWESTERN SPARTANBURG COUNTIES…

At 109 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was diminishing across the warned area. Around 4
inches of rain have fallen since mid-morning from Lake Bowen west
along the Highway 11 corridor. Localized excessive streamflow is
expected to continue working downstream throughout the South Pacolet
and Middle Tyger basins.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to cross
water-covered roadways, bridges, or low-level crossings. Only a few
inches of rapidly flowing water can carry away your vehicle. It is
not worth the risk. Please TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
