…Tropical Storm Irma leading to scattered wind damage and power
outages across the region…

Damaging wind gusts associated with Tropical Storm Irma continue
to sweep across northeast Georgia and the Western Carolinas.
Multiple reports of downed trees and powerlines have been reported
across the region. Motorists are urged to use caution and be aware
of any debris laying in the roadway, especially live power lines.
Wind gusts up to 50mph remain possible over the next few hours
before slowly weakening into the overnight.
