* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 601 PM EDT, high flows along the Tallulah River and the Tugalo
River due to previous heavy rainfall and ongoing runoff upstream
is causing pool rises at Lake Tugalo, Lake Yonah, and Lake
Hartwell. This may result in minor flooding of lake shorelines and
of lake access points, docks, and swimming areas.

* Minor flooding is defined as flooding of low-lying areas next to
streams and lakes, farmland, recreational areas, greenways, and
boat access ramps. Caution is advised anywhere near such areas.

* The latest pool elevations for the upper Catawba River lakes are
as follows:
Lake Tugalo: 890.90 feet. Full pool is 891.50 feet.
Lake Yonah: 746.9 feet. Full pool is 744.20 feet.
Lake Hartwell: 663.06 feet and nearly steady. Full pool is 660.00
feet.

* Until 1215 AM EDT Friday.

* At 556 PM EDT, high flows along the Broad River is causing high
pool elevations at Cherokee Falls and Ninety Nine Islands
reservoirs. This is resulting in minor flooding across the
Advisory area.

* Minor flooding is defined as flooding of low-lying areas next to
streams, farmland, recreational areas, greenways, and boat access
ramps. Caution is advised anywhere near such areas.

* The following reservoir pool gauge is experiencing Action Stage
elevations:
Broad River at Ninety Nine Islands Dam.
Current Pool Elevation: 103.10 feet and falling.
Forecast: The Ninety-Nine Islands Reservoir pool elevation will
continue to experience a slow and gradual recession this evening.
Action Stage: 102.0 feet.
Minor Flood Stage: 105.0 feet.
Impacts: At 104.0 feet, Action Stage continues. Minor flooding of
farmland and access points along the Broad River from Cherokee
Falls to Saratt and Bullock Creek is ongoing. Flooding of Ninety-
Nine Ferry Rd may be ongoing.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Cherokee Falls and Draytonville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

High flows on the Broad River means associated tributaries may
experience backwater conditions that may cause flooding of low-water
crossings and farmland. Do not attempt to travel across flooded
roads. Turn around, dont drown.

thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have fallen since this afternoon.
Additional moderate rain can be expected through 8pm, and another
round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible later this
evening.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Hendersonville, Brevard, Columbus, Flat Rock, Etowah, Laurel Park,
Tryon, Saluda, Rosman and Caesars Head State Park.

CHEROKEE AND NORTHWESTERN UNION COUNTIES UNTIL 645 PM EDT…

At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the leading edge of a cluster
of thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of
Spartanburg to 14 miles northeast of Laurens, and moving east at 20
mph.

Locations to be impacted include…
Spartanburg, Gaffney, Union, Woodruff, Pacolet, Cowpens, Monarch
Mill, Blacksburg, Mayo and Roebuck.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph, pea size hail and very heavy rainfall rates
up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

The combination of gusty winds and saturated soil conditions will

Abbeville, and moving east at 25 mph.

Greenwood, Laurens, Clinton, Ware Shoals, Joanna, Due West, Gray
Court, Cross Hill, Donalds and Cokesbury.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail will be possible in these
areas.
