extending from 9 miles southwest of Albemarle North Carolina, to 11
miles southwest of Monroe, to 11 miles north of Winnsboro South
Carolina, moving east at 65 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Indicated by radar. Some of these storms also have a
history of producing damaging winds.

IMPACT…EXPECT DAMAGE TO ROOFS…SIDING AND TREES.

Locations impacted include…
Monroe, Chester, Indian Trail, Weddington, Stallings, Unionville,
Wesley Chapel, Wingate, Waxhaw and Marshville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned

At 814 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from 13 miles northwest of Laurens to 8 miles west of
Watkinsville Georgia, and moving east at 40 mph.

Locations to be impacted include…
Greenwood, Laurens, Abbeville, Elberton, Clinton, Honea Path, Ware
Shoals, Calhoun Falls, Great Falls and Ninety Six.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph, pea size hail, and very heavy rainfall
rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Gusty winds can blow down trees that are dead, or that have weakened
root systems. Outdoor furniture and similar items can be tossed
around if not anchored. Seek shelter indoors.

Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT…HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE

At 741 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles east of Gaffney to 8 miles northeast of Union
to 18 miles southwest of Chester, moving east at 65 mph.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…PEOPLE AND ANIMALS OUTDOORS WILL BE INJURED. EXPECT HAIL
DAMAGE TO ROOFS…SIDING…WINDOWS AND VEHICLES. EXPECT
CONSIDERABLE TREE DAMAGE. WIND DAMAGE IS ALSO LIKELY TO
MOBILE HOMES…ROOFS AND OUTBUILDINGS.
