extending from 8 miles southwest of Lincolnton to near Gastonia to
5 miles east of York, moving northeast at 50 mph.

These storms are also producing extremely heavy rainfall. Flooding of

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 646 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles west of Anderson, or near Lake Hartwell, moving
northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Anderson Airport around 650 PM EDT.
Anderson, Northlake and Pendleton around 700 PM EDT.
West Pelzer around 710 PM EDT.
