* At 152 PM EDT, Automated gauges in the warned area had received
locally around 4 inches of rainfall today. With the continued
influx of occasionally heavy tropical showers this afternoon, high
water conditions will be exasperated, and stream and creeks in the
area will come out of their banks. Urban flooding around Rock
Hill and into the Steele Creek around of Mecklenburg County will
become more prevalent as well. An additional inch or two of
rainfall may fall during the latter half of the afternoon.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Rock Hill, York, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Clover, Newport, Town Of Lake
Wylie, Lesslie, Steele Creek and Catawba.
